Why FG couldn't create 3M Jobs as promised-Chris Ngige
THE Federal Government has blamed the downturn of the economy as reason why it failed to create the three million jobs it promised.
Speaking on behalf of the government is the minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, in an interview with Sun Newspaper.
Ngige also blamed corruption as being responsible, stating that with corruption it was impossible to create jobs.
if you have corruption, you cannot have resources to create jobs. Job creation to be specific is a multi-faceted; multi-sectoral affair involving all strata of the economic chain of the country,” he said.
Ngige said the government choosed to diversify the economy because “with the drop in revenue, we have to fight for our lives, we fought for the economic life of the Nigerian people, what do we do, we now said diversify into agriculture and mining. Jobs were created from mining, jobs were created from agriculture because those farmers you see have created jobs for themselves, they created jobs for some of their children who cannot get jobs, they have created jobs for their daughters and wives and so they became the blue collar job people.”
He also stressed that if not for the government’s intervention, the sack of workers in the private sector would have been much more than what it is now.

If you eat fried tomato two or more times a week ,you're risk early death
If You Eat Fried Potatoes Two or More Times a Week, It Doubles Your Risk of An Early Death - New Study Claims
According to a recent study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, it says people who eat fried potatoes two or more times a week double their risk of an early death compared to those who avoid them. However, the researchers noted that eating potatoes that have not been fried was not linked to a similar early mortality risk.
The research tracked 4,440 people aged 45 to 79 over a period of eight years to study osteoarthritis. This research team decided to momentarily set aside the main issue of osteoarthritis and look at participants' consumption of potatoes.
So, the researchers divided study participants into subgroups based on how frequently they ate potatoes each week. Over the eight years, a total of 236 of the participants died.
Analysing the data for each group, Veronese and his team found that those who ate fried potatoes two to three times each week doubled their chance of dying early compared to those who ate no fried potatoes.
French fries, potato chips, hash browns and any other preparation that requires frying were all included under the umbrella of "fried potatoes".
Age or sex of participants did not influence the result, but the data showed men were more likely than women and younger participants were more likely than older participants to enjoy the fried food.
The study was led by Dr Nicola Veronese, lead author of the study and a scientist at the National Research Council in Padova, Italy.

My wife has forgiven me for fathering a child outside marriage, Singer Atorise
Gospel artiste, Lanre Teriba aka Atorise, says his wife has forgiven his worst trespass against her; fathering a child outside their marriage.
Atorise, who has reputation of being promiscuous, said those castigating him are not better in a recent interview he granted.
He said, “I had a child out of wedlock and I have apologised to my wife about it and she has forgiven me a long time ago. I don’t know why people cannot just forget about the past and move on. Even people who do worse things behind closed doors would come out in public to castigate me.
Let the people who have seen me taking women to hotels come out and tell the world. Like I said earlier, there are some things I did before which I am not proud of but that’s all in the past now.
As long as the people close to me understand me, people can keep saying what they like.”

APC youth calls for the arrest of newly party,APDA over stolen logo
APC Youths Renaissance has observed that the logo of the newly registered political party, the Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance was stolen from Star Lager Beer, one of the popular brands owned by the Nigerian Breweries PLC.
The group wondered why a political party that seeks to take over the reign of government at the centre could not think deeply and come out with a logo not registered by any company in Nigeria.
Hence, their action is a testament that they have nothing new to offer to Nigerians other than recycling corruption using a new political platform.
Therefore, as a frontline youths wing of the ruling party, we believe that it is our duty to protect all Nigerians including their intellectual properties from any form of attack or encroachments.
Similarly, to avoid facing the anger of the World Intellectual Property Organisation and other multilateral institutions like the World Trade Organisation which Nigeria is a member, we are calling on the Independent National Electoral Commission and the security organisations in Nigeria to as a matter of urgency deregister the new party as well as arrest its leaders for breaching the intellectual property laws of Nigeria.
Failure to act within the stipulated time frame as enshrined in our laws, we will be forced to seek redress in the court on behalf of the Nigerian Breweries PLC.

South African snake pastor confesses at TB Joshua's Church, get delivered
‘SNAKE PASTOR’ GIVES PUBLIC CONFESSION:
Pictures showing Pastor Penuel Mnguni, popularly known as the ‘Snake Pastor’, feeding snakes to his members in South Africa as a purported demonstration of God’s power went viral across the globe, making headlines in newspapers and online media worldwide. However, Pastor Mnguni of the ‘End Time Disciples Ministries’, did not stop there. He went further by driving a car over some of his members, feeding parts of a live rat to congregants, locking another in a deep freezer for over thirty minutes and causing yet more to strip off their clothes during his wild church services. Pastor Mnguni was arrested for his activities and faced backlash from both human and animal rights groups but despite the global outrage sparked by his actions, he vowed to continue unperturbed.
Thus, when Pastor Mnguni somberly came forward during The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) service, it was a shock to many. Penuel told the congregation that he had read certain Scriptures such as Mark 16:17-18 which led him to believe he could feed his congregants with strange items to prove the power of God. However, he admitted that after discovering Emmanuel TV and beginning to listen to Prophet T.B. Joshua’s teachings, he realised his activities were “not Scriptural”. He therefore requested for prayers from Prophet T.B. Joshua for deliverance from the spirit that pushed him to engage in such bizarre, inhumane actions.

Men refuse to marry 38 years old lady for bed wetting
SENIOR INTERPRETER DELIVERED FROM BEDWETTING AND DRUNKENNESS
For Miss Auguste Da Costa, a senior interpreter in the Namibia Court, life was a terrible contradiction. On the one hand, a committed professional while on the other hand suffering from bedwetting and a consuming addiction to alcohol.
The curse of bedwetting which started from birth robbed her of marriage and a social life and disgraced her right through her life from when she was a student. Her classmates that witnessed her bedwet in the school hostel would spread the rumour that she was a bedwetter and before long, everyone around her knew. It was a stigma that followed her everywhere she went.
To drown her embarrassment and pain, she started drinking alcohol at the age of 15. She soon became addicted to this vice and spent all her money on feeding her addiction. She would go to the bar to drink alcohol even while food was still cooking on the stove.
When she was about to lose hope of ever overcoming these afflictions, she stumbled upon Emmanuel TV and decided that The SCOAN would be her final bus-stop. The words of T.B. Joshua rang in her heart when he said, “God can turn a drunkard into a sober person. When you make a mistake, don’t run from God – run to Him.”
Desperate to receive her freedom, she received the Morning Water and ministered it in Jesus’ name. The curse of bedwetting that had plagued her for 38 years disappeared as she discovered that from that very night onwards, something will wake her up each time she needs to go to the toilet in the night. Overjoyed at this deliverance, she testified that four years has passed and she has not wet the bed ever since.
The alcohol addiction was equally banished from her life through the Morning Water as the desire to drink the alcohol completely disappeared. Her double deliverance was followed by a double breakthrough as she was sponsored her government to study a course in Germany and she passed with flying colours. Forever grateful to God, she advised the viewers to always put God first in their lives.

Acting president Osinbajo orders reopening of N power portal
Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has directed that the online portal of the government’s job initiative, N-Power, be reopened June 17 to allow more unemployed Nigerians apply, the Minister of State, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, has said.
Mrs. Ahmed advised youth to apply for the Federal Government’s National Social Investment Programme (N-SIP).
She told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Thursday that the government would scale up the N-SIP to accommodate more beneficiaries.
N-SIP is a federal government programme aimed at reducing poverty and improving livelihoods of vulnerable groups such as the unemployed youths, women and children.
The government says the programme has so far empowered over 1.6 million Nigerians through its four components, namely; N-Power, National Home Grown School Feeding Programme, Conditional Cash Transfer, and Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme.
The minister said each component of the programme would be scaled up this year.
“For example, in N-Power Scheme that 200,000 beneficiaries have been employed, we are supposed to increase it to 500,000 beneficiaries in 2017,” she said.
She said Mr. Osinbajo had directed that the online portal should be reopened on June 17 to give Nigerian youth opportunity to apply for the next batch.
“There is opportunity in the N-Power Programme for employment,” she said.
“There is opportunity in the GEEP for you to get finances to be able to start businesses.
“ Please this is real, it is working, join the process and be a beneficiary,’’ she said.
The minister said the process was delayed initially because of the effort to eliminate fraudulent applicants and to make the process transparent.
She said the programme had not been able to attain its set target because of the delay in starting its actual implementation.
“The deployment, release of funds didn’t start till October 2016 and it is so because we want to make sure that the programme is planned properly.
“We want to make sure that each beneficiary has bank account linked to BVN; we are targeting the right people, not just people nominated by big people.
“That took a lot of time but we thank God that the programme is going on well and it is now easier to upscale it,’’ the minister said.
Mrs. Ahmed said the programme was showcased at the second year commemorative event of the Federal Government under President Muhammadu Buhari on May 29.
She said that the event, with the theme: “A Smile for Every Nigerian,’’ recorded testimonies of beneficiaries across the country.
“We are thanking God for witnessing the confirmation that the work we have done is actually yielding results.
“ Prior to now, we are getting a report on paper that shows the number of beneficiaries but we have seen and heard the testimonies of the beneficiaries at the event,’’ Ahmed said.

5 types of Muslims you always find during Taraweeh
Salamun alaykum fellow Muslims. Hope Ramadan has been great so far? May Almighty Allah accept it as an act of Ibadah. Just to lighten our minds a little bit, I have compiled a list of people depending on their approach to the ten rakat Taraweeh during Ramadan;
1. The Ramadan born agains!
These set of people are the reason why mosques gets filled up during Ramadan. They may have probably not been attending any prayers before Ramadan. They say Solat is stressful, but they develop a strange love for Solat and Taraweeh
2. The once a while Muslims
These set of people aways come like NEPA light. If you see them today, don't expect them tomorrow
3. The Taraweeh late comers
I can actually be put in this group! These people will never attend Ishai, they come to the masjid when the Taraweeh has reached almost the end. They just perform their Ishai and join the last few rakahs of Taraweeh and that's all!
4. The early leavers!
These are the opposite of the late comers. They come early for the Ishai and leave immediately after, they don't care about the Taraweeh.
5. The I-don't-cares!
They don't come even come to the masjid at all for either taraweeh or ishai.
